2022 - the year that passed

The business

Silk Meresalg ApS was founded (2013), we have worked as a concentrated consultancy business for a number of years.

Over the past two years, the consultancy tasks have been deliberately downgraded in the sense that we have not started new collaborations, but instead used the time to invest in our affiliate and link building business, without of course downgrading the consultancy work that is, or has been, available.

When new choices are made, new choices are made - our priority during the period (2020 to 2022) has shifted from a concentrated consultancy to working primarily with affiliate marketing and link building.

The move has been natural for us, but it also means that in 2023 we will launch a new website that illustrates who Meresalg Marketing is today.

In 2023, we will focus even more on affiliate marketing and our link building business. In relation to the latter, we have already developed a link system during the autumn to make it easier for our customers to gain insight into our large catalogue.

A lot has happened this year, but we are optimistically focusing on 2023.

Economy

2022 was the best year for us with a result of DKK 1,185,000 before tax. We are very proud of that.

Teamwork

A big thank you to our talented part-time employees, who again this year have made it marvellous.

Kristoffer Dyhr Mohr is our octopus who is always a great content and link building coordinator. Kristoffer is awesome and we are happy to have him on board. Kris, as we call him, has added even more hours with us in 2022. He has been with us throughout his studies and this summer he will finish his master's degree at Aarhus University and we will soon decide what happens next.

In addition to Kris, we have two new talented hands on board - they both live in Aarhus today, but Simon is originally from Mors and Patrik from Silkeborg.

Simon Vestergaard is a very talented young man who has quickly become part of the team. Simon is based in Aarhus and works primarily remotely, specialising in affiliate marketing. Despite his young age, he already has a number of years of experience and his knowledge has helped make us even better in this area.

Patrick Bolby is also based in Aarhus and also primarily performs tasks within affiliate marketing. In his very short time, he has already absorbed many tasks and we have no doubt that we will work well together.

The year in numbers

• 1.5 million visitors to our media by 2022.
• +500,000 clicks generated for Danish retailers via own media.
• Profit growth of 44% in 2022 compared to 2021.
• 2 new part-time employees have joined.
• Purchase of 5 new affiliate sites.
• Sales of 1 affiliate site.
• 2 worn-out office chairs, hard work and just good energy.

Milestones in the home

Lau has returned home after a 6-month remote adventure in Spain, followed by a month travelling to Bali, and winning the Danish 1st division in basketball.

Andreas has moved into a newly built house in Øster Lindet, shot the most beautiful fox while hunting and most importantly, he and his girlfriend Malene are expecting a baby boy in May 2023.
